IE Update

Urgent Windows Update Issued

Microsoft today announced it is releasing an emergency patch for Internet Explorer to fix a serious issue with the program. The security hole was found in IE6 through IE11 and is therefore affecting nearly all users of IE, The update is fully tested and ready to install for all versions of the browser.

Regardless of what version of IE you have on your system, you should install the update. Most of our customers will have Automatic Update enabled, and will get the patch from there. However we are recommending that you force this update today.

To do this go to Windows Update on all your Windows computers and select check updates, then install all important updates, make sure you do this on all your PC's if you have more than one. If you see the message 'No Important Updates' then the update is already installed on your machine and you do not need to do anything, more detailed instructions on how to do this are detailed below, if you are one of our unlimited support package customers you can also call us if you require additional help or assistance as part of your cover.

For customers who have not taken out unlimited cover we can of course still help you with this or any other issue you may have at our normal rates. If you would like more information on what our full unlimited support package covers then click here, cover is only £9.99 a month for up to 2 PC's in the same household.
