What is Remote Support?
Sometimes the best way to fix a problem is to have someone show you how or fix it for you. Remote Support is a convenient way for one of our helpful staff to connect securely to your computer over the internet, without us having to enter your home and without you having to leave your home to provide instant help with your problem.
To help ensure that only people you invite can connect to your computer, all sessions are safe, secure, encrypted and password-protected.
Our staff are waiting to guide you through three easy-to-follow steps which will allow us to solve any computer issue you may have without opening the door to anyone or leaving the house. Security is absolutely assured as is the safety of your data and files.
A member of the Tec Tamers team will remotely access your computer and run some straightforward checks on the performance of your computer. This will be reported back to you and after a short consultation, and with your permission a Full Service or a simple One Off Fix on your computer will be undertaken. The Service can take from 1.5 hours to 3 hours depending on the work to be carried out and a Fix from about 30 minutes. You will have the option to end the session at any time. There is no need to be with the computer unless you choose to. On completion a member of our team will again contact you with a full report of the issues found and resolved.

How will Tec Tamers fix my computer without visiting my home?
Most issues these days are fixed using remote support. It’s a very handy way of fixing problems quickly and efficiently. Remote support is when a support technician, with your full permission, securely takes control of your computer by logging into it via your broadband connection whilst you watch. It is totally safe, secured by military-grade encryption, and you are in full control of the process. You can watch exactly what we are the doing the whole time.
Can the technician access my computer after he has fixed it?
No, absolutely not. You must give our engineers permission to access your computer each time you need help, and you can watch exactly what we are doing.
What if you can't fix my problem remotely?
We will always endeavor to fix your computer remotely, as most problems can be done so. In the unlikely event that we can't then we can arrange to collect it from you and repair it physically - with a quick turnaround. In the event that we cannot fix your issue, we will always advise you on your next best step to take.
How soon can you fix my computer?
From phoning us, emailing us, or pressing any of the "pay now" links on our website we aim to contact you within 30 minutes. We aim to diagnose the problem within 20 minutes of remotely accessing your computer, then can fix your problem remotely and securely straight away. No waiting for a technician to visit your home or business. In 98 percent of cases we will be able to fix your computer remotely. Where we are unable to fix the computer remotely, due to a hardware problem or internet access, we can arrange to collect your computer via a courier, or in some cases send a technician to your home or business either same day or next day.
Do you charge for collection of my computer or a call out fee?
Any price we quote you is inclusive, we only charged for work carried out.
Do you support and repair computers for home users?
Yes. Home users have the same level of support as business users. We know how important it is to have your computer running the way it should. Do you support and repair computers for business users?
Yes. You don’t want to continually be worrying and wasting time trying to ensure your computer, computer systems or networks are running the way they should. Tec Tamers is your own computer department that you can call upon whenever a problem arises and at a fraction of the cost.
Can you access my personal information?
No. The system is absolutely secure. Your computer is totally protected by a unique user name and password that changes after each session. You the customer have total visibility on what we are doing the whole time. It is considerably safer than having a stranger visit your house or business to repair your computer, or taking your computer away to be repaired, or leaving your computer in a store staffed by part-time staff. You are safe in our hands and remain in complete control. You can see exactly what we are doing at all times and at no point will you see us looking through your personal pictures and files! We are just there to fix your computer and move on to the next customer.
Can you access my computer when I am away?

There is no way that we can access your computer without your permission and the unique password that only you can see. It is considerably safer than having a stranger visit your house or business to repair your computer, or taking your computer away to be repaired, or leaving your computer in a store staffed by part-time staff. What if I just want advice?
Our web site gives numerous tips and advice. If you need further advice or advice of a more technical nature one of our support staff will be able to assist for as little as £9.99 for 15 minutes. If you subscribe to our annual support package advice is unlimited. We are also happy to help with any query by email.
What does it cost?
Prices start from as little as £9.99 for a quick fix, for repairs a little more involved we charge from £29.99 to £49.99. A full service is only £49.99 and our annual unlimited remote support package is only £9.99 per month, minimum of 1 year.
